Forks in the Road
The division between people in this country has never been so clear as in the difference between these two blog entries:
As with all such extreme viewpoints, I suspect reality lies somewhere in the middle. Time will tell.
At least my wife and I are doing our part to help turn things around. We're stimulating the economy by spending all our money on this freakin' house. Ha!
Wanna see? Well, tough, because it's going to be a while. Time is once again scarce.

As for the differences of opinion on the new President, I'm like you and feel reality lies somewhere in the middle of the two extremes. Let's hope much good comes of this one.

Can't wait to see the pics of the house, buddy! The earlier ones looked gorgeous. The finished product should be really excellent.
We'll definitely see where the truth lies as time goes on. Since not one of the dire predictions of the Liberals came true in the last 8 years, I'll be curious to see which ones come true on the other end of the scale. I find it interesting that so many on the left were screaming about W 'gutting' the Constitution (yet were unable to find a single right that had been damaged, much less destroyed) and yet one of the very first bills introduced by the Democrats during Obama's reign was an attempt to...modify the Constitution.
*shrugs* We're screwed either way.

Cheer up. If the doomsayers are right about the economy, any money you may have saved up will disappear in a puff of inflation. But your house wont, plus you'll effectively owe less on it. Yay!
