MERRY FREAKIN' CHRISTMAS, ALREADY!!

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I have the worst time of it around the holidays, because I am about as far from being a shopper as you can get. It's hard for me to even buy food and gas! My shoes are a few years old (I bought two pair about 10 years ago, and I'm on the second pair, now). But I want to do something different this year.

I'm looking for gift ideas for my wife. I mean, something for ME to buy (or do) for HER. But I suck at gift ideas (but pretty good at sucking face, I think). OK, but that's a different topic.

I'd like to use one of my life lines and poll the audience. So, audience, GOT ANY IDEAS?! I'd like to hear from a woman's perspective... What do you wish your hubby would give you for [shudder] CHRISTMAS? Just because I don't like the holiday doesn't mean I should spoil it for her, y'know?

    Aww Bill your wife is lucky!! Okay well most of us would like something personal, and not any kind of appliance for the house like a new toaster or vaccuum, for starters. More like something along the lines of her fav perfume, a pair of pretty earrings, or maybe a gift certificate for a massage or manicure at a lady's spa? Does she like to read? Maybe a book or a gift certificate from a book store? Tickets to see a concert/play she'd like?

    Or.....some little romantic gift PLUS an I.O.U. from yourself to give her a massage or shoulder rub? (or something sexier if that is appropriate too)

    Hmm... Yeah, well the vacuum cleaner idea wouldn't work out too well, anyway, since I'd be the one using it. She's a popcorn feind, but she's got a setup for that. I made some earrings for her last year (out of electronic components), and she doesn't wear perfume.
    But I'm liking the massage idea. She likes massages. She gets a mini foot massage from me frequently (you'd swear she was having sex), so maybe I'll treat her to a really good foot massage. Maybe after we go out to see some live music or a play.
    Hmmmm....

    Sounds lovely!!!

    I go with a friend of mine to get a pedicure every couple of months or so, and I give her grief all the time...she ALWAYS gets the better foot massage, and I'm completely jealous of that fact!

    Can I have a foot massage too? ;)

    LOVE the massage idea! Maybe make her a "date" gift. An IOU for a dinner/show/etc... date night, just the two of you.

    Oooohhhh..... set up a fantasy dinner at home for her. Do it all up nice with the candles and tasty munchies (finger food) that you can feed her. ;) Soft music, good conversation....

    It doesn't take much to show someone that they're special. Just a little time and thought. And whatever you decide, i'm sure she'll love.

    Aha, if she loves the massage, then you've hit on something that you KNOW will be a happy memory for her Bill.... and you can combine that with just about any other little gift from the heart. :)

    I LOVE your music here!! LOL Sultans of Swing brings back many a memory.....
