Risen from the Dead

It all happened so fast. First, there was a blog, and then it was gone. Just like that. There was no ransom note. There was no trial. There was no phone call. Not knowing was the hardest part.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Perhaps it was a spurious glitch in my neural pathways. Perhaps a cosmic particle temporarily stripped me of reason or rationality. Whatever the reason, I decided (on Tax Day) that this blog must die.

And so it was.

But now the blog has returned! It has risen from the dead! However, it is not as complete as it once was. I have lost an "s". It is now the Haphazard Musing blog (as opposed to Haphazard Musings). Apparently, I was robbed in May...by someone who seemingly is inept about the whole blogging thing. Maybe haphazardmusings.blogspot.com is for psychics!

Nevertheless, you may rejoice at the return of this wonderfully stupid blog (or is it, stupidly wonderful?).

Woo hoo!

As my first musing upon resurrection, I would like to pose a question: What do all the following have in common?

• Parking
  
• Nuclear physics
  
• Four-way stops
  
• String theory
  
• Reversible lanes
  
• Quantum mechanics
  
• Turn signals
  
• Rocket science
  

Give up?

Apparently, they are all concepts that are equally difficult for many people to comprehend. Yet, these very same people somehow feel they are capable - albeit qualified - to operate a motor vehicle and talk on a cell phone at the same time!

Amazing!

They must all be members of the Pid family. Let's see, there's King Pid and Queen Pid, Kid Pid, Moronica Pid, and Stu Pid.
